FAQs

Q: Does filing for Canadian Permanent Residency have any negative impact on my current H1B?

A: NO. Neither the application or approval of your Canadian Residency will create any conflict with your current H1B.

Q: I understand that I do not need an Employer to file for my Green Card under the Alberta Program. What if I do find an employer? Does this make a difference?

A: YES. The actual process to obtain your Permanent Residency Card will be exactly the same. Approximately one year with or without an employer.  However, if you do have an employer, we can assist you with filing for special permission (work permit) to begin working with your new employer during the waiting period.
